Do You Have a Rising Kindergarten Student?

Admissions season is well under way. Do you have a child that will be entering Kindergarten next year? Applications are now being accepted for the 2018-2019 school year. We are currently scheduling screenings for rising Kindergarten students on February 5, from 9:00-11:00 a.m.  Admissions applications are available on the St. Michael’s website and may be submitted online. Please contact Matt Teller, Director of Enrollment Management, for more information at mteller@stmichael.net.

In addition, if you have friends or neighbors who are looking at education options for next year, please encourage them to join us for our Admissions Open House this Saturday, January 20, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet some teachers, tour the campus, and submit an application for admissions.

SMA News

St. Michael’s Angels (SMA) would like to extend a special welcome to all our new families, as well as a warm “welcome back” to our returning families. We are excited for a great 2015-16 school year!
First, we’d like to thank Bridget Peyton and Kristin Greenwood for organizing the July uniform exchange. Many uniform items exchanged homes!  Thank you for coming out to support it and especially to our parent volunteers: Elizabeth Berenguer, Kevin Greenwood, Michael Peyton, Trevor Peyton, Jensen Peyton, Michelle Gastrock, Julia Rebert, and Terese Souvignier. No worries if you missed it, as the next Uniform Exchange is Friday, August 28, before and after school.
The SMA Coffee Corner also returns Friday, August 28, from 7:30-8:30 a.m. in front of the School Office. Coffee Corner is a great opportunity to meet new families and reconnect with friends. While you are enjoying your coffee, please stop by the “Volunteer Fair,” where you can learn from our Chairs about the various ways to be involved, meet new parents, and support our wonderful school.  We look forward to seeing you there!

For those of you who have signed up to be a room parent, there will be a meeting on September 1st, beginning at 8:05 a.m. in the Parish Center. This informative meeting will be your opportunity to hear about the responsibilities of a room parent and ask any questions. We are still in search of a few classroom parents. If this interests you, please contact one of the SMA chairs: Julia Rebert and Terese Souvignier, or Vice-Chair Erika Pina-Loucks.

Mark your calendar: St. Mike’s Diner back-to-school family social will be Friday, September 11, from 5:30-7:30 p.m.  It’s always a blast with the kids and fun for families to get back together!  More information to be posted.
We will keep the SMA Bulletin Board (located across from the School Office) updated with upcoming events and information throughout the year.  If you have any questions or are looking for ways to get involved, we welcome you with open arms! Please contact Julia Rebert or Terese Souvignier.  Cheers to 2015-16!

Early-Out Day

Just a reminder that Friday, August 29, is a noon-dismissal day. If you are sending your child to after-care, please remember to pack a lunch, as there is no lunch program on that day.

Music, Motion & Media Summer Camp

Admissions season is here!

This Saturday, from 9-11 A.M., we are hosting our annual “Discover St. Michael’s!” event.  Thank you to those who’ve already invited prospective families and students to our campus.  Please remember to share names and contact information with me at any time so that I can follow up with a personal tour invitation.

Please return your signed contract as soon as possible in order to save your child’s spot for next school year.   There is a seat with your child’s name on it, but we need to receive your re-enrollment contract by January 31.  We will open enrollment to new families beginning February 1.

If you are seeking financial aid for 2014-15, please complete the information through our website link right away.  Our school uses Financial Aid for School Tuition (FAST) as the service that processes requests.  Allocation of scholarship assistance begins in early March.
