K-3 2017 Fine Arts Order Form
As the school year draws to a close, the SMA would like to update our St. Michael’s families on the “free money” earnings. The total gained from Box Tops alone was $860! Hold on to your remaining box tops and continue collections for our fall Box Top rally once school is back in session.
The SMA would like to extend an enormous thank-you to Laura Lee and Claire Zeiller for their efforts in guaranteeing flowers were available for all the St. Michael’s performers in both the K-3 and 4-8 Fine Arts Night shows. The flowers were lovely, and the process for ordering and picking up was smooth; both were greatly appreciated!
Our last big event of the school year, Art Expo, is this Friday night! Any and all free hands are needed and welcome to help display art throughout our campus. This event is such a wonderful culmination of the students’ year in art. Please step in for any amount of time during the school day on Friday, if you are available.
Thank you all for your support and generosity during this school year. The SMA could not be what it is without parental support; we are so grateful for those in our St. Michael’s family! We are already thinking ahead to next fall and hope you will consider joining us in the planning and preparation of events for the 2016-17 school year. Have a blessed and relaxing summer!
There’s exciting news to share regarding the Fine Arts Night for our Primary students this spring. Our Lower School Fine Arts Night for K-3 students will move back to our home stage on the evening of Friday, April 17. With our Middle School students and faculty leaving campus for a week of class trips, this provides a golden opportunity for us to have a fun-filled week on campus with our Lower School students, creating a Fine Arts Night to remember for our young performers as they follow the Pied Piper of Hamelin. The stage will be set up early in the week, enabling more on-stage rehearsal experience for our students and onsite support from the classroom teachers in preparation for the event. At the same time, Creswell Courtyard will be transformed into a lovely Hamelin village area, complete with a flower stand and an ice cream parlor for a delightful treat following the red carpet performance. A side benefit for this change of venue will be better parking for our parents and a wonderful way to celebrate the evening after the performance with friends and families in a safe and lovely area. Mark your calendars now! More details will follow this spring.
