Notes from the Head

W O W!! Our annual spring gala is just around the corner. Do you have your tickets? If not, you still have time to be a part of a dazzling white-on-white event that promises to be not only fun but a terrific benefit event for St. Michael’s. The gala committee has worked long and hard in preparing for the event, and I, for one, can hardly wait to celebrate the night with our community. Tickets can be purchased online, in the School Office, or from Lonnie Reese. Anything white with a splash of color is the attire for the night.

The annual spring gala is important for our school and serves as one of our chief fundraising opportunities. Each year, the gala not only raises funds but builds our community through time with friends. Not everyone who attends has children at St. Michael’s. Past, present, and future supporters are often among the guests. But what if you are going to be out of town or are committed to another weekend event? Then consider sponsoring a teacher and guest, or perhaps you might make a cash donation instead. Although we would love to have your presence, we would appreciate your support in that way as well.

Fundraisers such as the gala or our annual golf tournament are critically important to the operation of our school, serving to support the operating budget beyond what tuition alone will fund. Fundraisers give everyone the opportunity to support the school at a personal level. Each gift, no matter the size, is received with deep gratitude and appreciation. Always our goal is to be the best school we can be, serving as good stewards of the resources we have. So pull out your white tops and jeans or your white tux or gown, if that’s your style. Throw in a splash of color, and get set for a dazzling evening. We’ll have fun together as we raise some money for our school. After all, at the end of the day, it’s all about the kids!
