Cub Scouts

Informational Meeting

This Friday, Aug. 25th after school

In Lower School Sunken Courtyard

*Eegee’s & snacks provided*

Cub Scouts is a year-round outdoors and character-building program for boys ages 6-10 and their families. At St. Michael’s, Cub Scouts starts in first grade and then transitions into Boy Scouts in sixth grade. A boy can join at any time during this progression without having to make up badges for past years.

We plan to move our regular meetings from Friday after school to Sunday late afternoons to increase parental participation and allow for more outings like hiking, fishing, STEM, Scout day camps, and more.  We usually meet 1-2 times per month, go camping twice yearly, and build cars for the annual Pinewood Derby each spring.  Most of all, we have FUN!

Contact Geoff Miller at or Heather Walsh at with any questions.

Girl Scouts

The St. Michael’s Girl Scout Troop will hold its first meeting in the Smith Parish Center on Friday, August 25, from 3:15 – 4:30 p.m. New and returning scouts are welcome. Girls of all scouting levels will join together for this first meeting (Daisies, Brownies, Juniors, and Cadettes). We are in need of two leaders to take over the Daisy Troop (Kindergarten and first grade). We will not be able to include these bright, energetic little ones in activities beyond this week unless we can recruit two adults to supervise them! If you are interested, please contact Melissa Brosanders by phone/text/email: 520-203-3732 or
